Thanks for your nice comments on my house book pages, Sharon! Do you already know the weekly challenge blog "Dans ma maison il y a ..."? You´ll find loads of house shaped inspiration there - have fun with your books!

Hi Sharon,
I am so excited to be apart of this blog, as it keeps expanding. My husband joined to see my work. I was picking on him, since he blogs about books he reads, his friends would be agast at what we do to books ;0!
I will hopefully give a detail profile of myself as time allows. At least I got up pic's from the first altered 8 RR we (kellie, jen and I) did. I can fill in the word stuff later;)

Hi Sharon,
Thank you for the nice comments on my books. To answer your questions: a) the mini books: the lettering is mine; I used exercises from my calligraphy class to create the books.
b) the pages of the larger book/journal are all done by me: painting, drawing, collage etc.
I just loooove books!
best, Annie

ANOTHER WEDDING???!!!! Yep, daughter #2 is getting married again....I'm up to my elbows in wedding invitations. If I had a computer, I would post a picture for you. Friends of theirs and ours just bought a Victorian mansion in a nearby town and will be through with the major renovations in time for the wedding.......well, all except the third-floor ballroom floor! Miss you guys...............the groom is my computer guy and hasn't had time to go through my computer yet. He has looked at it and says it doesn't bode well. Hubby trying to get everything together for retirement........ no help from the company,.......talk about unorganized! He's just a little put out! Missing you guys :(

Oh what fun, a wardrobe full of paper confections. I wish I could see them, but you can see Pat's theatre, as well as the others as they are now posted on my web site under Theatre des Modes. There are 22 in all, and they are simply amazing.

Thank you for your comment, Sharon. I was actually thinking of using the blog feature here for talking about digital painting, and how I do it - and about using PSP. Lots of people use it, but it isn't as well covered as Photoshop and the others for the artist.

Thank you, Sharon, for the nice welcome.

Photography is my first love, has been for many years. I feel that the digital age in both photography and painting has opened up a whole new universe of possibilities for the creative mind.

By the way, I hate to disappoint you but my picture is of cactus blossoms, not poppies. I do love poppies however. We just don't see them here in the Desert Southwest.

Hey Sharon...I just got the July/August issue of RubberStampMadness yesterday and finally made my way to the last page tonight. I love that card that was published on the Submission Info page! The water babies are just too too cute! Congrats!

Well.... Those National Geographics had a really great use for me. The map of the Basins was a pull out from one of those national Geographics! It was wall size! Woooo Hooo! I love it!

no due date. It's just for you. I started mine from a prayer book I found at school(I work in a Catholic School). My shrine isn't really a shrine. It's more like a journal, but not really. It's weird. When I get more finished with it I will upload some progress pictures..... So far so good. I am proctoring a final exam right now. The lat day with the kids is TODAY! YAAAAAY! I need summer! It's supposed to be in the 90's for the remainder of the week. UGH!

Yeah. I still imagine seeing her gorgeous face....and I especially can imagine her running like a bat out of hell through the yard...She would just run in circles and I'd try to catch her...she'd beat me everytime. Lisa, Kellie & I in Altered 8 are gonna make doggie shrines....we wanted to invite you too! Interested?

Oh! No big deal...you don't even have to put them on altered 8 at all. They are just so pretty...I thought people would be inspired by them. :-)

Well....I am getting ready to have a garage sale in 2 weeks. That will certainly help me to "downsize" . I too am going through photos and discarding some that won't mean anything to anybody but me. They have all been put into albums, but who needs 10 albums? I am making new ones and incorperating some of the altered books ideas I am picking up ! Sure keeps me busy ....

Hi Sharon...thanks for the warm welcome! Great to put a face to the names isn't it?

I just sent you a coffee 3x3 in the mail this week - that's a great coffee image here on your blog!

Congrats on the published pieces - it is such a kick to see your work in print. I haven't submitted anything anywhere for such a long time, but I need to think about doing that again...working on a preset concept is good creative exercise. And I have some time now that my new house is much less work to take care of - more time for art!

I too have 4 gsons and 1 gprincess! She is really into making 3 dimensional things and loves fatbooks. She is 7 in 2 weeks.

Hey Sharon! Looks like you're making up for lost time with the new camera. Wowsers. I'm cleaning up the art area so that I can paint some fabric. I've been at it for five days now and I've only managed to find things I haven't seen in years and to make an enormous mess. If I sit at my table, it is piled up over my head! But the space next to it is cleared out. So now once I organize stuff more, I should be able to put it back and be able to actually reach things I want to use. That's my story! I took a picture but then the camera got buried!
