Collage For A Cure - Memory Walk 2008

My wonderful and amazing mother-in-law Phyllis has Alzheimer's.

My mom’s company is a part of the Memory Walk 2008. My mom’s name is Sharon. We (me and my mom) are walking in this walk for my mother-in-law.

My mother-in-law and mom are pictured here together lighting the candles at my wedding. Phyllis is on the left and my mom Sharon is on the right.

My mom told me I needed to earn money by way of donations for my walk participation. Hmm me, earn money? LOL. I spend money no problem. So that is just what I’m going to do.

My mission statement: For my mother-in-law (and all Alzheimer victims) I will walk, I will raise money, I will offer my art up for donation, I will donate my own money!

I'm offering up 3 different collages for silent auction on my blog. If anyone was thinking they might want some new art, maybe as a gift this is a good opportunity to not only get a collage but to have your bid amount (plus some of my dollars) donated to research and support for Alzheimer's patients.

Thanks Jennifer. All of the art pieces sold and it was fun to run a silent auction like this. The walk was great and my mom made it the whole way and that was a big step for her (she had a heart attack and then breast cancer so her body has been slowly healing). I still need to get a picture of us from the walk day up. I just now got my technique book in the mail and it is beautiful. I love the cover and that is the first technique I am going to attempt! Thanks again for all that you do to put these projects together for us and coordinate us all LOL
