How is the vendor related to the swap you might ask? Well, even though I'm a few miles from the beach, I didn't have anything beach themed in my rubber arsenal. Surfing around I came across their plate of under the sea stamps......and now have that one & the architectural one. I'm a happy girl! So, the backgrounds have begun for the chunky book ;-) And....the architectural stamps are on metal....which will be etched this week and turned into gorgeous jewelry pieces. Woo- hoo!

I love this technique, creates beautiful backgrounds. I'm sure some of you tried this when it was originally posted, but now here's a chance for the rest of you to give it a go. This will come out differently every time and the artist suggests working on a few at a time & really just playing.

I added a header & it seems I wrecked people's pages......I'll have to sort this out, don't wanna do that to people's pages. I still want everyone to be able to customize as they'd like.
5-24-08...edited to add....come to find out that it wasn't an issue with what I did, it was a known issue with IE compatibility. If I had known that THEN I wouldn't have changed the appearance, just left it as it was....but I caved.....now I know. See.....another reason NOT to use IE ;-) Edit complete.

Well, later today I'll be mapping the domain over to here. I'm excited about that. What that means is that when one types in bookartz.com- it'll bring you here to the network. And I think that's all the paid stuff I'll do for now. Yes, the ads are most annoying, but only because I know they are there- I don't see them. My browser of choice is Firefox & I have an add-on called adblock. Just as the name implies- it blocks me from seeing any of the adsense ads. So they aren't on my sidebar. I'l…

Well a couple of people are in here poking around- I need the feedback. More in the coming days. And the first set of charges have hit my card- LOL. It's all good. I'm not even halfway through my to do list. All in good time right? Since I have my ads blocked on my browser- I've never seen the google ads here in the right column. Well I opened IE today & had a look. That bugs me. Will have them removed soon & replaced with our own static ones. That'll be next week's project.

I've met so many new friends in the various social networks that I belong to......now it's time for two worlds to collide. The BookArtz Yahoo group will have it's own social network here. I've been working hard on some customizing, but still have loads to do. Hopefully in the next week or so I'll be ready to bring in a few members/artists to run some testing then we'll go live and invite everyone. I'm excited about it!
